About

Hi. I'm Simon Leslie. This is my website.

A bit of background about me. I was born in London and have lived in the UK for most of my life but between the age of 10 and 18, I lived in France. I went to high school there, at a school where French was the main language. After passing the French baccalaureat, I returned to the UK for university. I studied history at the University of Cambridge and then law at Nottingham Law School.

For over a decade, I worked at an international law firm called Jones Day. After finishing my training contract, I qualified as a solicitor. I worked in the Global Disputes department and was involved in a number of important and high profile cases.

Since September 2015, I have been working in the Corporate Technology group at Taylor Wessing LLP. The shift from advising on disputes to corporate transactions came after a long period of thought about what I wanted from life. I want to look forward and to work towards a positive goal. Advising start-ups and VCs on funding rounds and exits suits me just fine.
